TermPilot — Privacy Policy
Effective 27 September 2026 · Developer: Sungmin Oh
TermPilot does not collect your data. There is no account,
no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no crash-reporting service. The developer
runs no server. The app connects only to the servers you add, and your settings live on
your device and in your own iCloud account.
1. Where your data lives
| What | Where |
| Saved hosts (name, hostname, port, username, sign-in method, tags, groups),
snippets, macros, app settings |
A local database on your device. Hosts, groups, snippets and macros are also
mirrored to your other devices through iCloud Key-Value Storage,
which belongs to your Apple Account. Passwords and keys are never stored there. |
| Passwords, SSH private keys and their passphrases, Coder tokens, Cloudflare Access tokens |
The iOS Keychain. They are stored as iCloud Keychain items, so if you have
iCloud Keychain turned on they reach your other devices end-to-end encrypted by
Apple; if it is off, they never leave the device. |
| Terminal output, command history, file listings |
In memory and on your device only, for the running session and the app's own
features (search, recent commands). Never sent anywhere. |
| Voice model |
Downloaded to the device the first time you use voice input (see 2.3). |
2. What leaves your device
2.1 Your connections
When you connect, TermPilot talks directly to the server you entered — over SSH,
SFTP, or Mosh (which uses SSH to start the session and then encrypted UDP). If you configure
a Coder deployment or Cloudflare Access for a host, the app talks directly to the URL you
entered for it, using the token you supplied. Nothing passes through any server of the
developer. What you type and what the server returns is between you and that server.
2.2 Local network
On Wi-Fi, the app looks for SSH servers advertising themselves on your local network
(Bonjour, _ssh._tcp) so it can offer them under Nearby. iOS asks for
your permission first. The results are shown to you and not stored or sent anywhere.
2.3 Voice input
Voice input is optional and uses WhisperKit,
which runs entirely on your device. The first time you turn it on, the app
downloads the speech model from Hugging Face (huggingface.co,
repository argmaxinc/whisperkit-coreml) — a plain file download that sends no
audio and no personal data. Audio is processed in memory and is never recorded, stored,
or transmitted.
2.4 Apple services
iCloud Key-Value Storage and iCloud Keychain are provided by Apple under
Apple's Privacy Policy. Data in them
belongs to your Apple Account and is not accessible to the developer.
3. What the developer receives
Nothing. There is no backend, no telemetry, no analytics SDK, and no
third-party tracking or crash-reporting library in the app. Diagnostic logs are written through
Apple's system logging and stay on your device.
If you email support, the developer sees only what you choose to include.
4. Device permissions
- Microphone — only for voice input, only while you are dictating.
- Local network — to find SSH servers on your Wi-Fi and to connect to
hosts you add on your local network.
TermPilot does not use location, contacts, photos, calendars, or health data.
5. Deleting your data
- A host — deleting it removes it from this device and, through iCloud,
from your other devices.
- The voice model — can be removed in Settings → Voice Input → Voice Settings.
- Everything — deleting the app removes its local database. Items in
iCloud Key-Value Storage and iCloud Keychain belong to your Apple Account and can be
removed there (Settings → [your name] → iCloud, and the Passwords app).
6. Children
TermPilot is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new
effective date.

모델을 Hugging Face(huggingface.co, 저장소 argmaxinc/whisperkit-coreml)에서
Apple
7. 변경
