Rambledump — Privacy Policy

Rambledump does not collect your data. There is no account,
no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no crash-reporting service. Your notes are
files in your own iCloud Drive and on your device. The developer has no server and
no way to read them.
1. Where your data lives

2. What leaves your device
2.1 AI features
Rambledump uses AI to classify notes, tidy text, and answer questions about your
archive. The default provider is Apple Intelligence, which runs on your device;
in that mode your notes are not sent to any AI company. (Apple may process some requests
on Apple's Private Cloud Compute; you can turn that behaviour off in the app.)
The other three providers are opt-in and require your own API key. If
you do not enter a key, nothing is ever sent to them. When you do enter a key and select
a provider, the app sends requests directly from your device to that company —
never through any server of the developer:

What is sent depends on the feature:
- Classification — the text of the note being classified, plus the
list of tags already used in your archive.
- Tidy — the text of the note you asked to tidy, verbatim.
- Chat — your messages, and the content of notes the assistant
retrieves while answering. The assistant has read-only access to your archive; it
cannot modify or delete notes.
Technical metadata stored at the top of each note (timestamps, device name, schema
fields) is removed before the text is sent.
Retention by the AI provider. For OpenAI, the app explicitly
requests that the exchange not be stored (store: false). Anthropic and
Google do not offer an equivalent per-request option, so their handling of the data
follows the terms of the account whose API key you supplied. Your relationship for
those requests is with that company; please review their privacy policies.
2.2 Link previews
Off by default. If you turn it on, the app fetches the title and
preview image of web links you write in your notes, which means contacting the website
you linked to. No other information about you is sent.
2.3 Apple services
iCloud Drive, CloudKit and iCloud Keychain are provided by Apple under
Apple's Privacy Policy. Your data in
them belongs to your Apple Account.
3. What the developer receives
Nothing. There is no backend server, no telemetry, no analytics SDK,
and no third-party tracking or crash-reporting library in the app. Diagnostic logs stay
on your device, are written through Apple's system logging, and deliberately exclude the
content of your notes.
If you email support, the developer sees only what you choose to include in that email.
4. Device permissions
- Camera / Photos — only to attach an image to a note, when you ask.
Attachments are stored with your notes.
- Clipboard — optional. Off by default, and even when enabled the app
asks before using clipboard contents.
- Siri / Shortcuts — to capture a note by voice command.
- Share extension — when you share a web page to Rambledump, the page
text is extracted on your device to create the note.
Rambledump does not use location, the microphone, contacts, calendars,
or health data.
5. Deleting your data
- Notes — deleting moves a note to a
.trash folder inside
your archive, where it remains until you empty the trash in the app. Nothing is
removed automatically.
- Chats — you can delete a single conversation or all conversations.
Deletions propagate to your other devices.
- API keys — clearing a key removes it from the Keychain.
- Everything — deleting the app removes its local database; your notes
remain in iCloud Drive until you delete the Rambledump folder yourself,
because they are your files.
6. Children
Rambledump is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new
effective date.

Rambledump는 사용자의 데이터를 수집하지 않습니다. 계정도,
분석 도구도, 추적도, 광고도, 크래시 리포팅 서비스도 없습니다. 작성한 노트는
사용자 본인의 iCloud Drive와 기기에 있는 파일이며, 개발자는 서버를 두고 있지
않으므로 이를 읽을 방법이 없습니다.

2. 기기 밖으로 나가는 것
2.1 AI 기능
Rambledump는 노트 분류, 글 다듬기, 아카이브에 대한 질문 답변에 AI를 사용합니다.
기본 제공자는 기기에서 실행되는 Apple Intelligence이며, 이 상태에서는
노트가 어떤 AI 회사로도 전송되지 않습니다. (Apple이 일부 요청을 Apple의 프라이빗 클라우드
컴퓨팅에서 처리할 수 있으며, 앱에서 끌 수 있습니다.)
나머지 세 곳은 선택 사항이며 사용자 본인의 API 키가 필요합니다. 키를
넣지 않으면 아무것도 전송되지 않습니다. 키를 넣고 제공자를 선택하면, 앱은
기기에서 해당 회사로 직접 요청을 보냅니다. 개발자의 서버를 거치지 않습니다.

전송되는 내용은 기능에 따라 다릅니다.
- 분류 — 분류 대상 노트의 본문과, 아카이브에서 이미 쓰인 태그 목록.
- 다듬기 — 다듬기를 요청한 노트의 본문 전체.
- 대화 — 사용자가 입력한 메시지와, 답변 과정에서 어시스턴트가 찾아본
노트의 내용. 어시스턴트는 아카이브를 읽기만 할 수 있고 수정하거나 삭제할 수 없습니다.
각 노트 상단의 기술 메타데이터(시각, 기기 이름, 스키마 필드)는 전송 전에 제거됩니다.
AI 제공사의 데이터 보존. OpenAI에는 해당 요청을 저장하지 말 것을
명시적으로 요청합니다(store: false). Anthropic과 Google은 요청 단위의
동등한 옵션을 제공하지 않으므로, 데이터 처리 방식은 사용자가 제공한 API 키가 속한
계정의 약관을 따릅니다. 이 요청들에 관한 관계는 사용자와 해당 회사 사이에 성립하므로,
각 사의 개인정보처리방침을 확인하시기 바랍니다.
2.2 링크 미리보기
기본값은 꺼짐입니다. 켜면 노트에 적은 웹 링크의 제목과 미리보기
이미지를 가져오며, 이를 위해 해당 웹사이트에 접속합니다. 사용자에 관한 다른 정보는
전송되지 않습니다.
2.3 Apple 서비스
iCloud Drive, CloudKit, iCloud 키체인은 Apple이 제공하며
Apple 개인정보처리방침을 따릅니다.
이 서비스들에 저장된 데이터는 사용자의 Apple 계정에 속합니다.
3. 개발자가 받는 것
없습니다. 백엔드 서버도, 텔레메트리도, 분석 SDK도, 서드파티 추적·크래시
리포팅 라이브러리도 앱에 없습니다. 진단 로그는 기기에 남으며 Apple 시스템 로깅을 통해
기록되고, 노트 내용은 의도적으로 제외합니다.
문의 메일을 보내면 개발자는 그 메일에 직접 담은 내용만 보게 됩니다.
4. 기기 권한
- 카메라 · 사진 — 사용자가 요청할 때 노트에 이미지를 첨부하기 위해서만
사용합니다. 첨부 파일은 노트와 함께 저장됩니다.
- 클립보드 — 선택 사항이며 기본은 꺼짐. 켜 두어도 사용 전에 매번
확인을 받습니다.
- Siri · 단축어 — 음성 명령으로 노트를 남기기 위해 사용합니다.
- 공유 확장 — 웹페이지를 Rambledump로 공유하면 기기 안에서 페이지
텍스트를 추출해 노트를 만듭니다.
위치, 마이크, 연락처, 캘린더, 건강 데이터는 사용하지 않습니다.
5. 데이터 삭제
- 노트 — 삭제하면 아카이브 안
.trash 폴더로 옮겨지며,
앱에서 휴지통을 비울 때까지 남아 있습니다. 자동으로 지워지지 않습니다.
- 대화 — 개별 대화 또는 전체 대화를 삭제할 수 있습니다. 삭제는 다른
기기에도 전파됩니다.
- API 키 — 키를 비우면 키체인에서 제거됩니다.
- 전체 — 앱을 삭제하면 로컬 데이터베이스가 사라집니다. 노트는 사용자의
파일이므로 Rambledump 폴더를 직접 삭제하기 전까지 iCloud Drive에 남습니다.
6. 아동
Rambledump는 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 누구로부터도 데이터를 수집하지 않습니다.
7. 변경
이 방침이 변경되면 새 시행일과 함께 이 주소에 개정판을 게시합니다.
